At Polk State College, the Digital Media Technology program provides students with a foundation in graphic design, video production, web design, and visual communication. Students engage in practical, hands-on projects using the latest technologies, workflows, software, and equipment to produce incredible projects.
Skills
Our courses explore theories of good design, lighting, composition, and visual and aesthetic appeal. Students engage in targeted projects that build on skills such as:
- Effective messaging
- Audiovisual communication
- Interactivity, Usability, and Interface design
- Marketing & Business principles
The course curriculum actively trains participants to work within teams, cope under pressure, communicate well, and use creative problem-solving to exceed the needs of clients or any organization that hires them.
